Faceless

In Faceless, Polaco proposes a movement contrary to traditional portraiture. The figures appear with their heads covered by paper bags, erasing visible identities and creating a field of tension between presence and anonymity.
By concealing faces, the artist discusses contemporary identity crises, especially in a world mediated by the internet, social networks, and the construction of virtual personas. The scenes depicted place the viewer before faceless subjects, where individuality dissolves and identity certainties become unstable and fragmented.
Faceless is a visual reflection on anonymity, the fear of exposing oneself, and the constant doubt about who we are in a society saturated with images.
