In the Portraits project, Polaco shifts the focus from public figures to ordinary people — families, friends, and individuals close to his daily life. Here, painting becomes a meeting space between color, affection, and identity, revealing the uniqueness of each face portrayed.

Unlike the logic of standardized images, these portraits seek to highlight the personality and emotional presence of the subjects, using intense colors, contrasts, and graphic gestures that reinforce feelings and stories invisible at first glance.
More than physical representations, these works affirm the importance of the anonymous individual, celebrating the diversity and complexity of human relationships in the contemporary world.
