Reverse

Reverso is the space where painting takes on a philosophical and reflective stance. The images created by Polaco operate in the field of symbol and metaphor, proposing questions about the contradictions of current society.

Astronauts searching for sound in the void of space, soldiers with bear heads, or a girl watering a plant in a post-apocalyptic setting are figures that highlight the absurd, the poetic, and the political. These characters inhabit a world in crisis—environmental, social, and ethical—and reflect the displacement of the individual in the face of the collapse of narratives of progress.

In this project, the artist uses painting as a means to provoke the viewer, inviting them to reflect on the course of humanity and the role of sensitivity in times of uncertainty.
